You're weird. I'm an atheist because of all the free wine, rum, avocado, jalapenos, hummus and pizza we atheists get. Only the real idiot atheists get excluded from that sweet deal. I didn't become an atheist for the swag, anyway. Here are the reasons I'm a nonbeliever: 1. I hate God (just like all atheists, duh.) 2. I want to sin (Ask Ted Haggard. A practicing Christian can't sin, so atheism is rather appealing in that regard). 3. I'm gay (Again, just like all atheists. For some reason, I still really like boobs, though-- don't know what that's all about). 4. To escape all the persecution (Obviously, growing up in rural America, all atheists are treated like outcasts). 5. I'd like to hold on to that 10% of my income (becoming an atheist was a financial decision, really.) 6. Did I miss anything? Probably. So I guess I'll just reiterate that I hate God. (What kind of asshole doesn't even bother to exist?) (December 24, 2017 at 6:32 pm)vulcanlogician Wrote:(December 24, 2017 at 6:11 pm)Hammy Wrote: What?! You're weird. I'm sure it's better than self abuse.
I'm so gay, I wrap right around the spectrum and crave the pusseh.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

That higher power, is with you today, even since you were concieved, angels of God have protected you, against evil angels, and made certain that your ultimate salvation is not jeopardised, and yet they have always stepped back when it comes to your decision making and free choice. You have never been allowed to experience anything that you could not handle, and the spirit of God has revived your hopes many times without you knowing it. God has granted you life, to be part of the human experience, and one day you will have the privilege of standing in fornt of billions of human beings from all eras, and tell them your life story. The thought of losing you hurts God so much, that he doesn't want to exist without you. The death of Christ was a demonstration of that. He always knew that he would rise from the dead, but while on the cross he thought that he was gone forever, yet he hoped that his sacrifice would work to save all of humanity, so he hung in there and died. You have every right to talk to God, he will never forget a word or wisper. Have a safe holiday. Critical thinking involves trying to look for the most reasonable explanation using the most reasonable approach(es) available to us, even if it leads us to a truth that is disturbing and challenges their current views. Given all the arguments Ive heard, I find it incredibly hard to believe that Catholics, or other people of religious faith, have arrived at religious truths using critical thinking skills.
Great question!
Your right! Why are they all about "where you go when you die?" Pre-reform was all about being "justified(legalism)" to go to heaven when you die. Post-reform is all about "salvation" to go to heaven when you die. Both ideas are invisible in the autographed languages of the bible. I am a theist, well versed in the autographed languages, and I tell you: the bible is all about the here and now of our individual lives(nobody else's business)! Heaven is a place here, and now, that is a authoritative up(sky) position. As a citizen of heaven, I live down(figurative) here with complete diplomatic immunity(from above)--oh, am I having a good time! Hell is a here, and now, burning trash heap of a life--ask a homeless drug addict. You can only go to "heaven" when you live right here, right now. NOT WHEN YOU DIE! That place is called "Paradise! You can only go to "hell" when your current self directed life completely sucks! After death it's called the "Lake of Fire"--NOT "HELL"! It's called the Lamb's book of LIFE--HELLO! Those whose names are not found in that book will suffer the second death, which is the Lake of Fire". The rest of us will probably experience an unending orgasm that would make a heroin addict jealous! But, that's just a guess. The rest of the people are called "worldly", or land people. The Greek word is "gE" (pronounced: gay). So we all are either heavenly citizens, or hell mongers, or completely gE! My life has been off the freakin' charts good! But that's anecdotal. At least I'm not a hell monger or gE!
My girlfriend thinks I'm a stalker. Well...she's not my girlfriend "yet".
I discovered a new vitamin that fights cancer. I call it ...B9 I also invented a diet pill. It works great but had to quit taking it because of the side effects. Turns out my penis is larger and my hair grew back. And whoa! If you think my hair is nice! When does size truly matter? When it's TOO big! I'm currently working on a new pill I call "Destenze". However...now my shoes don't fit. |
