I take no pity on a person who wants to whine simply because he is forced to sit there and listen to the damage he's done to all those women. They have scars that will last the rest of their lives. Castration should have been a part of his sentencing.

Actions have consequences and he has to face them. Shouldn’t have done the damage if he doesn’t want to look at it.

Fucking shitweasel. I prescribe a 24/7 looped playback of the testimonies to be blasted into his cell.

That's a lot of victims. Man has time on his hands.

Yeah, think about the fact that that represents only the victims who wanted to speak. One committed suicide, so her mother had to speak for her.

Rather than have a social worker standing by if he should lose it I think they should leave lengths of cord, plenty of sharp objects and a variety of poisonous fluids at his disposal.

I'm a bit closer to that situation than I'd like to be.
I never met Larry Nassar. But I did go over to MSU, from Pittsburgh, for a meet (against Pitt). I used to like to make little road trips to follow Pitt gymnastics: Maryland, Penn State, WVU, NCAA regionals at Michigan and a couple other places. I had met one of their assistant coaches at the time, Katie Teft, who I had seen on TV a bit, and liked, during her career. She never made an olympic team, but did go to trials and barely lost out. I liked her more than some of he more glamorous ones of the time. Dominique Moceanu, Shannon Miller, Amanda Borden. When I had heard that she and her Michigan State team would be coming to Fitzgerald Fieldhouse at Pitt (this was the year before I went on that trip), I got all fangirlish and came with a sign, like I'm some 12-year old girl or something. But she came over and chatted for a good ten minutes or so, and she was the most charming person ever. When I went over to MSU for a meet, as stated earlier, people I chatted with at the meet described her as a "lovely young lady". I met her three times and saw her a fourth time at a meet at Cal State Fullerton when I moved back out here to CA. She knew me on a first name basis that second and third time. So, this whole Larry Nassar thing has been disturbing for me. I have watched all the testimony that you can find on YouTube, and there's several hours of it. It is absolutely draining, and it's kind of shaken me in a way, because I had known Katie, their assistant coach in that time, and it made me wonder if she's somehow guilty of something. It just amazes me how people can work alongside (kind of, I guess) him and not have some inkling of what is going on. I did meet head coach Kathie Klages once (she was mentioned by one of the survivors as a guilty party in all this). She didn't give me a good vibe. Seemed to have a harshness to her that I didn't find in Pitt's head coach. Katie Teft (Minasola) is now the head coach at Eastern Michigan. I do follow them on Insta. I just really hope no surprises come to light. The most evil people sometimes have quite a knack for fooling those closest to them.

As a doctor it looks like Nasser had a little better cover for his exploits and depravities than Jerry Sandusky did. Jerry had to cultivate a culture of tolerance around himself in ways Nasser did not.
I think a tape recording of his victim's statements needs to be looped and played back in his cell at night when he's tryin g to sleep. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I watched some of the testimony, but I couldn't watch a lot. In a way, it felt triumphant, though. Like, these girls are kicking his ass in front of everyone. It's the closest we'll get to actually seeing them take a jab at him, so it had a touch of satisfaction. Of course, it was all very tragic and horribly sad as well, so minimum dosing is required.
