I caught that story too, I was like "right on!" Cleaning two tilapia to save a bear does seem like an easy one. Bears are thin on the ground, we can have as many tilapia as we care to spawn and brood.
I don't really have much in the way of floating reservations to killing, or to killing one to save another..regardless of species. Give me a passable reason and I'll grab my gun, set the traps, rig the nets, mix the poison, drain the lake, damn the creek, burn the forest, assault the housing block.....whatevs.
