Did you know that there's a coven of dyslexic devil worshippers in Sacramento who have sold their souls to Santa?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Wasn't it because of the 'copycat' Captain Marvel? I agree that Supes was better before he could fly. He's too overpowered to be interesting anymore. Actually the opposite . Captain marvel is a copycat of superman . And yes sups is a mary sue .

Did you know that, in frigid weather, domestic cattle will freeze to death in conditions that will cause only minor frostbite to wild cattle. The reason is that domestic cattle will face away from the wind, causing the frigid air to get under their fur. Wild cattle typically face into the wind, accepting minor cold burns on their faces in order to preserve their body heat.

That's what I said, or meant to say; that CM was the knockoff.

Fair is fair - Superman is a knockoff of Doc Savage.

Everything's a knockoff of something, even if it's accidental.
I was so fucking furious recently about a Black Mirror episode. Some months ago, I was driving with Tibs and I said, wouldn't it be a cool idea to have doctors that learn to diagnose by plugging into and feeling a patient's symptoms? It would make them more accurate and give them compassion for their patients' pain. I loved the idea for a book or short story. Flash forward a few months and the new season of Black Mirror is out. They have an episode very similar to my idea. It didn't have the outcome/plot I imagined for my work, but it was sufficient enough that I'd be called a copycat if I wrote it now. Sonofamotherfuckingshitfuck.

I don't know. Doctor Manhattan and Rorschach (not necessarily super on Rorschach's part, but you know what I mean) were pretty modern.

A lot of Batmans tropes were stolen from a 1920s movie called The Bat or The Silent Shadow Of The Bat
The joker
The Bat Signal
The Dual identity
A man dressing like a bat

I mean the concept of a superpowered hero . And to be fair if we factor people like Jason who was a mere mortal but still a hero (like Rorschach ) . I think the comparison fits.
Hercules anyone
