Christ on a cracker!
I read the title and thought you meant outside.
Stay safe.
Do they have security cameras?

Super thin... it might get through... but shouldn't have enough energy to do much damage. AT least it's not just a wood panel, huh?!

Don't use your gun at the gas station!!!

Ugggggggg, nice distraction.

As for much damage all I know is a six year old boy is dead from being shot through the wall of his house. That was an actual house not just an apartment wall so I think it would be more dangerous not less.
You don't need to even take off the safety you just point it at them and they see the laser point on their chest and most people will stop what they are doing.

OK, a casing left behind means it's an automatic pistol. Don't know many people who have a .32 caliber, so it is probably a .40 caliber or 9mm. Even the .32 will punch a hole in two layers of drywall. It won't have a lot of energy left, but could still do damage. A .40 or 9mm slug will kill you outright if it hits anything vital, even after passing through two layers of drywall.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

My bedroom is up against the staircase to the second floor and my bed is against that wall. At about 0125 a gunshot rang out on the staircase, something fell down the stairs, someone ran down the stairs after, and ran to a car before driving away very fast.
It so happens that my 6'4" paramedic husband is on a 48 hour shift and I'm home with the baby and the dog alone. I called the cops and they found the casing I heard him say it was a .38. There was no blood or body so they have no idea what was being shot at.
Now I'm wide awake, scared of my own front door, and wishing my gun wasn't in my truck. Granted I wouldn't need it cause I'm not going outside anytime soon and anyone coming in would need to get past an extremely protective 75lb husky but I feel rather defenseless right now. I hate living in a big city.
Sorry I just needed to get this all out so I could possibly get some sleep before needing to be up for work in 3.5 hours.

I thought he said .38 but it was 1:50am, I had been woken up by a gun shot, was running off fear, was holding my 3 month old in a death grip, and standing in the cold so I may have misheard lol
So update;
I called the apartment complex office at 8:30 to leave a message for when they opened at 10am. They finally called me back at 11:20 saying they hadn't heard anything about this happening and wanted to know everything about it. I told them and he was asking if I saw the "get away" car to which I said no I was scared that if they saw my curtains move they would know I had seen them but I did see the second car that drove away ten minutes later. I didn't know it they were related but leaving at 1:40am on a weekday ten minutes after a gun went off was strange. He said yeah but what about the first car. I wanted to go no you dense fucker I already told you I didn't. He asked for a police report number and I said I didn't file a report I just called them, they took my info, and I went back inside. He asked if my yard faces buildings 7 & 8 and I'm like I have no idea I don't keep track of the other building numbers I just know what I already told you, my apartment faces the road not the courtyard. I feel like they should have the layout of the complex and not need to ask which buildings my apartment faces, I mean they had an hour and a half to look up where my apartment was since I said it in the voicemail.
I also told him my neighbor had come outside saying he heard the gunshot too so he might have more info and they were like which neighbor. I said the one I share a wall with. "What number is that" Dude once again I.Don't.Pay.Attention.To.Things.That.Aren't.Mine. You should know which apartment is the one I share a wall with, there is only one. He seemed on the verge of panic himself. I don't think he was very high up on the totem pole and had to report all this to the head honcho.

We don't have any on our apartment buildings but I'm not sure about the front gate. They might be able to at least ID the car if they do since there is only one way in and out of the complex and that is through security gates.
