Priest publicly wishes for Pope's quick death...
March 21, 2018 at 12:41 am
...due to his views on immigration and Islam.
(CNN)A Catholic priest from Poland is facing rebuke after calling Pope Francis a "foreign body" in the church and implying the Pope should pass away soon if his views on refugees and non-Christian beliefs don't change.
"I pray for wisdom for the pope, for his heart to open up to the Holy Spirit. And if he does not do that, I pray for his quick departure to the House of the Father," Father Edward Staniek said during a homily in Krakow last month, according to an English transcription of his words.
"I can always ask God for a happy death for him, because a happy death is a great grace," he said.
During the homily, the prominent priest and theologian also took issue with some of the Pope's more liberal ideas on immigration, divorce and Islam.
What say you Catholics? Frankly, one thing I don't miss about church is te political side. I get it: parishioners are political, but I'd have loved it if clergy stayed out of it.

Nothing much to say. Not everyone is going to like whoever the pope is. Looks like this priest doesnt. I'm sure there are others.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Catholics have long recognized changes to traditional values and view the modern church as far too liberal...especially the idea that all religions may gather under the same umbrella.
What comes across as acceptance and tolerance ends up becoming a compromise that allows any person or any thing to be named God.
But many whose focus is on the church leadership, are quite happy to look to the Pope as the icon of God on earth.

The irony is tha Junta pope's views are probably not that dissimilar to the priest's. Despite all his PR shilling the rcc is still the homophobic, misogynistic, paedophilic and dictatorial regime it was under the Nazi pope and tye KGB pope before him.

A lot of Catholics are beginning to recognize the real nature of the RCC, it is very disappointing to them.
I believe they are God's people, despite the fact that the RCC is Satan's organisation, the Antichrist system.
They trusted in the paraded good - it's facade.
Kissing babies in public, while torturing them in their secret dungeons.
Thousands of sincere priests and nuns have no idea that these horrors are the norm in its higher ranks.
The Vatican sits over all the nations and has their loyalty, finance and support.

And that's the problem with the Catholic laity.

Really there is a lot of diversity in Catholic doctrine and in teachings between parishes, despite Catholic Lady liking to say 'Catholics believe this, or that' its really not that unified of a religion.

I love the smell of schism in the morning.
It smells like . . . . .
VICTORY
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

When I say "Catholics believe this or that" I'm referring to official Church teaching on faith and morals. The Church teaches, for example, that Jesus was conceived by the holy spirit. A person who is Catholic might reject that, but he is going against Catholic teaching by doing so. Likewise, the Church teaches that abortion is immoral. This doesn't mean there aren't plenty of Catholic people out there who think abortion is just dandy. But in doing so they are not adhering to official Church teaching on the matter.
That's why we have terms like "devout practicing Catholic" for those who actually adhere to Church teachings, and "cafeteria Catholics" for those who dont.
There are also grey areas, or areas where the Church has not officially spoken on. This is where Catholics may disagree without anyone going against Church teaching.
Anyway, a Catholic is free to either like or dislike the pope. Though that priest saying what he did publicly is pretty inappropriate.
