In this week's dystopian health care news, HHS is driving End-Stage Renal Disease patients to commercial/private insurance purely to get money into people's pockets, regardless of whether or not Medicare and Medicaid are the superior option for these patients (speaking as somebody who actually used Medicaid when I was considered an End-Stage Renal Disease patient.) And of course, for conservatives who are more concerned about money than people's lives, this is also bad for you too, as it causes an increase in overall healthcare costs to the system and threatens the sustainability of the marketplaces and employer plans’ risk pools.
