I don't think it's embarrassment lol. It's just hard to have a discussion when people are hurling insults, strawmanning, and accusing you of having ulterior motives.
And I agree, Vulcan said it right: best to give the benefit of the doubt until there is legitimate reason not to.

And here's another example - vorlon tries to tie every thread to evangelical support of Trump, and/or some supposed contradiction from a list he's seen but hasn't understood. He should be making his own threads if those are important subjects to him, rather than junking up others. That doesn't encourage theists to engage in serious debate.
