It's one of those very few franchises that there are just no detractors. Everyone who has played it loved it.

Still can't get through to Steam. I'm beginning to wonder if they really want their loved ones back.
BTW, I play RTS games, but I'm looking for "new" things.

If you like AoE2 you may enjoy Rise of Nations or Age of Mythology.

It's absolutely amazing, as is portal 2. I highly recommend it, it calls for some very unusual solutions to physics-related puzzles. It's polished and original.
