True. I could put a lien on Brian's trailer. It's a harassment technique used by real assholes. Not saying this is the case here, but I've seen it done elsewhere.

That's what is confusing. I put a deposit down, but a couple weeks later paid in full.

Maybe the lien was applied for before I paid in full. But I owe nothing on the house now.

The home manufacturer is a famous national company.  I think maybe that simply was left over from when I only had the deposit down. I will get some legal advice tomorrow. I am betting the lien will be removed once I sign off on the final walk through to allow me to move in.

Kick it into IMAC mode just to be safe.

Generally a lien must be filed with the appropriate County Clerk or registrar or whatever terminology is used in your location.  While you're waiting it might be worthwhile to take a run over there and ask.  You might even be able to search online if the recording office is sufficiently modern.

I live in a rural county yes, but the county government building is quite modern. I filed my mom's estate paperwork there, also got my passport to go to  Australia there.
