No, someone is supposed to monitor their medication but sometimes carers forget or someone is sick.
No-one seems to ever get their arse kicked for not doing a good job around here.

Well said.  To generalize this idea a bit more, I'd say the following: if you have nothing constructive to add to a dialog, say nothing.  IMO, responding on impulse, especially when negative emotions are running high, increases the likelihood of people entrenching themselves in one-sided mindsets and managing their differences negatively. 

That said, IMO, your post highlights a unique trait of self-discipline, which IMO, is an art-form in itself.  One day, I'd like to be able to master this beautiful and fascinating art-form.

You may feel badly, but at some point, you just have to acknowledge the reality. You're a nice person; the kind of language I learned growing up and have applied to people who have wronged me is legendary. And that doesn't include the physical insults like bruises and bloody noses. Before you think badly of me, I'll just tell you that when I graduated high school I was 5'-7" tall and 137 pounds. One interesting thing I learned- a lot of those 200 pound plus foot ball player gorillas have a glass jaw. The smiley to my left should show chipped teeth, to reflect my physical reality. I don't start fights.
