True Christianity
Some people call themselves Christians but they merely impostors.

Are Catholics Christians?

Man of God, Jack T. Chick says no.
https://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0071/0071_01.asp

Who did he know? I guess he prayed and God Himself told him that.

Are protestants Christians?
"Every time I hear the term Christian used for Protestants, I cringe"
https://www.traditioninaction.org/religious/m013rpProtestantsChristians.html

Maybe people who belong to orthodox denominations are true Christians?

One the side note, it seems that God decided to repeat the story of the tower of Babel.
Maybe He was afraid that His chosen people will unite against Him?  Rolleyes
I liked the parts where these old yahoodies tolchock each other and then drink their Hebrew vino, and getting onto the bed with their wives' handmaidens.

We do know he doesn't like a strong, united people. Hell, one of the signs of the end times of revelations is world peace, isn't it?

RE: True Christianity
Why people who read one bible and pray to one God have such divergent views?
Maybe some of them (or all?) have bad reading comprehension?
Maybe some of them don't pray sincerely?

Yeah, I imagine it could be, if all the leaders of the world could come together and straighten out their differences, and stop all the fighting. Would it be completely ideal for everyone? Probably not. But if all the wars stopped then that can't be a bad thing.

RE: True Christianity
I would like to ask SteveII and Catholic_Lady a favor.
Please, pray to God and ask Him if you go to the right church.
Maybe He will confirm it. Or maybe He will tell one of you that you are a fraud. Or maybe you both are frauds, (because Greek orthodox are His Only Church).

Every christian (denomination?) thinks that they are the true christian. But those other christians are fucked in the head, no golden ticket for them.

RE: True Christianity
Most everyone knows that prayer doesn't do shit. Think about this: if you believe that god has some sort of master plan for your life, then your prayers are pointless because you are essentially asking the divine one to alter his plan for you and that isn't part of "The Plan".

Additionally, giving thanks for him saving you from a tragedy where someone else suffered or died (think car accident or weather related tragedy) is stupid because clearly, his sadistic side kicked in if he "selected" others to die as part of "The Plan". That's not very loving, is it? So why would you thank god for anything along those lines, really? He may have saved your life, but he took someone else's. If you don't find that disturbing, something is wrong with you.

Thanking god because he helped you find your car keys? Please. You were simply diligent and persistent enough to find them. God didn't do squat. He didn't walk from room to room helping you did he? He wasn't physically there to put in any work required to actually find your keys. You did that. And - gasp! You did it while millions of children were starving and dying of hunger because in that moment, your car keys were so much more important to god than some kid needing to eat, right? If you really believe that he helped you find your stupid keys while letting innocent kids die of hunger and you don't see a problem with that, you need to seek professional help.
