Religion: Making the lives ot Schizophrenic people HARDER
Religion and Spiritualism often teaches that demons are real, whilst, in reality, we know they are not (There has never been any evidence for them, and they defy all sorts of laws of physics which have been tested, they are essentially a complete nonsense story that young minds routinely invent).

If you read the bible you might notice that lots of people in it have schizoaffective symptoms hallunications, hearing demonic voices etc. we know today what to call this phenomena and how to help people cope with it.

On the other hand, the spiritualists raise children to beleive, and support the myths of, demons. This is harmful to the mental well-being of schizophrenic and psychotic people. Their lives are hard enough as it is, it is disgusting that they want to make it harder for these people and they can always dodge away from criticism "I'm not horrorizing and manipulating people, I beleive in it too! I'm just virtuously telling the truth!".

Of course not: they are lying through their teeth and fully aware of it. They know full well they can't prove it. Which makes them all sadistic lying hypocrites.
So what else is new: they were created in His image, were they not...

And the fact that they're just completely ignorant of the necessity of proving extraordinary claims isn't an option because...

I just wish that the public would stop thinking that it is wrong or disrespectful to challenge someone's religion... As that allows these people to just carry on what they are doing.

Religion teaches fear, that's the #1 priority to control the masses.
When I was about 9 years old I would watch A Haunting on tv, it would scare the living shit out of me to believing that it was real, mostly because they said it was real. They would say "If you don't believe in god, you will be haunted by demons forever!"
At the time, I wasn't at the age of reason so I honestly thought my imaginary friends were ghosts and demons. Turns out it was just my fucking imagination, the people, the voices, all in my head :p
I couldn't imagine what I would do if I still thought they were real demons, I'd probably commit suicide or kill someone Tongue

Now when I hear and see stuff I end up laughing my ass off, it's amazing what your mind can do to you.

Is it normal to think your thoughts are being broadcasted out loud? I still haven't got an answer to that one yet?

Religion is like a Penis, you shouldn't whip it out in public and you shouldn't shove it down your child's throat.

I think only god squadders get possessed or hounded by demons.

The rest of us have to deal with the IRS.

I'm sure practically everyone worries about this at random times.

If you ever catch yourself worrying about the person sitting opposite you on the bus reading your (embarassing) thoughts, you can take it as an opportunity to act on reason ("I know logically that she is not reading my thoughts") rather than superstition ("but I'll just think about something else, ... just in case").

No,we do not know any such thing as fact. I do not believe in demons for the same reason I do not believe in gods;lack of credible evidence. That is not the same as making the positive claim that they do not exist.

No, technically it is not the same. But for all intents and purposes it is !
