Mark 14:48-52 probably describes a young man who was a follower of Jesus, running away in just his underwear. It makes you wonder if Jesus was sharing the secrets of the kingdom of god with that young man .

Still such behavior is not the least bit surprising for leaders of religious cults who either establish these cults so they can take advantage sexually of their followers. Either that or they decide because they are either god or god's anointed they can what they please.

Still comes down to a 'Mental Heath Issue" IMHO

Because that's what we have here.
Most of the people on this planet are riding on the backs of a few hundred thousand descendants of apes who have been productive enough to make life quite acceptable for many of us.

We don't need heaven we have it on earth.

Perhaps many people do not realize that the bible was meant to be a fairly philosophical interpretation of spirituality. It you want a literal interpretation of the nature of God and spiritual, seek the Tao or perhaps Hinduism

Just as the bible states the world was created in seven days, IT WAS NOT. MUCH OF THE BIBLE IS WRITTEN IN CODE/RIDDLE/PHILOSOPHICAL. I forgive many atheists for misinterpreting the bible because they are so compulsive about the simplicity of proof as it is. Life is never that simple.

What that phrase means "the Kingdom of God is within you" was a reference to your heart and soul. The atheist may see this as the physical brain that is the physical mechanism that invokes emotions, that's fine. Just know that is exactly what it meant.

Lol I have valued knowledge and wisdom of all types, never in my life have I discriminated against anything unless it was negative. I have spent much of my life not only studying the sciences but spiritual concepts of the world. I know how to correctly interpret the bible that is agreeable amongst both Christians and atheists. The problem is that people take things too literally. I mean really, I don't need authority to tell you that the world was NOT created in seven days Nor was it created on October 23rd, 4004bc at 9 am. This is just common sense to realize that such an interpretation is ridiculous.

In the same way, I feel many atheists assume that people think that God has an anthropomorphic quality. This is just as ridiculous on both sides of the fence, to make that assumption and to think that God is like that.

Just as it has been reiterated in this thread that some think people who believe in God view God as this tiny person inside of you. That is just as silly as you have made it out to be. I don't need an authority figure to tell you these things. It's like me needing an authority figure to tell you that the earth is round.

Regardless in many ways, God may be correctly interpreted as the unconditional love and understanding, and the manifest of that in humanity. Not only has this been revealed in many Near Death Experiences, but there is a correlation of this concept in all spiritual concepts.

Problem is Theo...it IS YOUR interpretation...and you are only one of a billion interpretations. YOU are no more authoritative than that little poor uneducated girl in Ethiopia.
