Convenient for you.

Unfortunately, I see past it.

No surprise.

I’m not the one is avoiding discussion. But I’m not going to keep going back and forth like this. If you decide that you want to support your statements, rather than run away from them, I’ll be here. I am interested in why you think this.

Have a good day!

Your only interested in playing apologist games till everyone's sick of debunking your nonsense or arguing in circles with you then just walks away. Only to then have proclaim a fake victory then try it all over again. Sorry your song and dance got old ages ago no matter how much you try and pretend to "just be curious" the smoke screen has long faded and the apologist preacher in sheep's clothing is clear as day.

That which is personal should be kept as such rather than blurted as universal.

After all, how does personal become universal except through an agenda?
Ah trying his "this isn't really about evidence line " or worst disparately to shift the burden onto you because he has nothing .

When I asked them what evidence they had for God's existence, one of them made a sweeping gesture toward the woods in back of my house, saying, "There's your evidence right there!"

"No," I replied, "that's only evidence that I own several acres of wooded property. Evolution is a perfectly adequate explanation of how all those trees and woodland creatures got there."

"What is your religion?" their leader asked.

"I have no religion or god," I replied. "I'm an atheist."

They all shrugged their shoulders and left. Intellectual cowards! Dodgy

You exhausted their arguments quickly, which means they had no intellectual wherewithal to fall back on.  That's the problem with arguing with people who are only trained to certain beliefs.

But perhaps you will make them think about it later.

That reminds me.  I attended a barbeque with some relatives on Saturday.  One 53-year-old man who had visited the Creation Museum in Kentucky a few weeks ago on vacation was discussing with a 70-year-old woman how dinosaurs fit into Biblical accounts, and how the Genesis story of the first people made sense.  I could only think that those two were largely deprived intellectually.  They couldn't simply recognize the Genesis stories as mythology.  And the woman concluded that the Bible was intended to make people think!

RE: If theists understood "evidence"
This seems like the same response I have gotten when asking similar questions of atheists claims that theists just need to be educated or lack critical thinking .   It's appears (to me) to be nothing more than sophism, and a way to disparage others, without any real solid backing or reason for the claim.   As usual, the result is just senseless attacks on Christianity, with nothing to support it.   I wonder if that fits under the prime directive rule?

Isn't it amazing that people will believe something, just because someone told a story??

Know anyone who is guilty of that behavior? Know anyone who got all wound up, and screamed and yelled about that story, even though they had no actual evidence????

Go look up the Kavanagh thread........

Kit, if have time share your detailed opinion on levels of scientific evidence like in this pic. Simply saying that evidence is awesome and faith sucks isn't enough.

But faith does suck

You sound like a Baptist looking down your nose at a Mormon - because the Mormon doesn't believe the " real" story.
