Round 3 from me:

1. I get motion sickness and an instant headache when looking at first-person-shooter video games, and can only play real-time strategy or turn-based games.  The only major video game I've played all the way through is the original Starcraft.
   
2. I've paid off two houses over the years, but lost custody of the first one in a divorce.  (I did, however put most of the buy-out $$$ towards the mortgage on the new house.)
   
3. My favourite astronomical object is the M42 nebula in Orion.
   
4. Starting in 2011 I went on an uncluttering rant and gave away two-thirds of my furniture, probably 80% of my library, most of my CDs, and virtually every knickknack and tchotchke that wasn't nailed down.  (For a few years, when I still had way too much stuff to get rid of, my front yard was insanely popular on the spring and fall Winnipeg Giveaway Weekends.)
   
5. When travelling I like to visit museums and historical sites.
   
6. I like modern art, particularly M.C. Escher, Piet Mondrian, and Lawren Harris.
   
7. I've actually played Lady Simpson's Piano at Lower Fort Garry.
   
8. I have sleep onset insomnia that first showed up when I was five years old.  Have experienced "asleep as soon as head hits pillow" exactly once since then, after getting home from a school trip to New York City in the 1970s.
   
9. Can't stand aluminum cooking pots.  Only cast iron or clad steel need apply for a gig in my kitchen.
   
10. I've watched the Beatles movie Help! at least a dozen times.

Well, it certainly helped me -- it was probably the first time I heard Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" and the overture from The Barber of Seville (the latter in the closing credits).  I first saw it when I was eight, in Montreal at the old Capitol Theatre, a beautiful place that is now torn down.  Took me until about age 30 to get all the best jokes, though.
