Round 3 from me:
- I get motion sickness and an instant headache when looking at first-person-shooter video games, and can only play real-time strategy or turn-based games. The only major video game I've played all the way through is the original Starcraft.
- I've paid off two houses over the years, but lost custody of the first one in a divorce. (I did, however put most of the buy-out $$$ towards the mortgage on the new house.)
- My favourite astronomical object is the M42 nebula in Orion.
- Starting in 2011 I went on an uncluttering rant and gave away two-thirds of my furniture, probably 80% of my library, most of my CDs, and virtually every knickknack and tchotchke that wasn't nailed down. (For a few years, when I still had way too much stuff to get rid of, my front yard was insanely popular on the spring and fall Winnipeg Giveaway Weekends.)
- When travelling I like to visit museums and historical sites.
- I like modern art, particularly M.C. Escher, Piet Mondrian, and Lawren Harris.
- I've actually played Lady Simpson's Piano at Lower Fort Garry.
- I have sleep onset insomnia that first showed up when I was five years old. Have experienced "asleep as soon as head hits pillow" exactly once since then, after getting home from a school trip to New York City in the 1970s.
- Can't stand aluminum cooking pots. Only cast iron or clad steel need apply for a gig in my kitchen.
- I've watched the Beatles movie Help! at least a dozen times.

Well, it certainly helped me -- it was probably the first time I heard Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" and the overture from The Barber of Seville (the latter in the closing credits). I first saw it when I was eight, in Montreal at the old Capitol Theatre, a beautiful place that is now torn down. Took me until about age 30 to get all the best jokes, though.

1. Most people don’t know my real name. Not even my coworkers.
2. I went to so many schools growing up, I lost count. Sometimes I think it was 27, but it seems too much. 17 seems too little. It was something with a 7 but not 7.
3. Amanda Nunes
4. I miss my cat Fígaro more than I miss a lot of people.
5. I can’t seem to fall in love. It’s like I don’t have that function. I can fall in admiration, though. Hard.
6. I have battled depression since I was 6.
7. I hardly ever laugh. I smile A LOT to make up for it.
8. I don’t play video games, or any games.
9. I’m deeply, profoundly, ridiculously attracted to talent and smarts. A pretty face won’t stay pretty forever.
10. I don’t look at myself in the mirror long enough to get my hair or makeup done right. I barely glance. I have many mirrors at home, but I try not to look at them. It’s a thing.
10.5. Tacos.

Ten more from me:
1. I once had lunch with Madalyn Murray-O'Hair.
2. I retired at 53.
3. From the late 1980's until 2006 I was a professional caterpillar farmer specializing in giant Saturniid moths.
4. My house was heated with firewood from 1976 until 2011. I harvested most of the wood from my own property.
5. I came out as an atheist in 1982 after a decade of comparative religious study.
6. I'm an ailurophile.
7. My favorite fruit is Gala Apples.
8. I can, and sometimes do, make a meal of steamed broccoli and Brussell Sprouts.
9. I love backyard fireworks.
10. I have about 1,000 DVD's and 2,000 books in my private library.

Didn't you help save middle Earth? That's a pretty big fact. I'd say the numero uno fact. But, maybe you're just really humble.

Time to resurrect this.
1. I didn't invent the internet.
2. I'm still in bed on a Sunday morning.
3. When you least expect me, I happen.
4. I have a strange fascination with the world of Judge Dredd
5. My dark side would scare you.
6. Grolsch is still the best beer on the planet
7. Diamonds: overrated.
8. Sapphires: awesome
9. My flower of choice is the black rose
10. You're never alone when you have cats... if you can find them.

That was Gore, wasn't it?
I work graveyards, I'm in bed most mornings.
Now I know when to look.
Meh.
Scare me, will it?
When I drank, my favorite beer was Añejo Tequila.
I don't understand human fascination with shiny rocks.
Are they really that precious?
Can't say I have a favorite flower, but I sure don't mind watching a girl plant tulips.
I suppose roommates who disappear aren't so bad.

1. I’ve decided to go beardy.
2. I find Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who and Harry Potter to be vastly overrated.
3. Any meal that requires more than three hours to prepare isn’t worth my effort.
4. (corollary to #3) I’ve convinced myself that good food cancels out bad food. This means that if I eat a pound of bacon followed by a radish, the net health effects are nil.
5. The current state of cinema makes me a little sad.
6. I once talked my wife out of getting a boob job. Oddly enough, I don’t regret it.
7. The fingernails on my right hand are much longer than those on my left.
8. Not sleeping well lately.
9. Wagner’s music is better than it sounds. It must be.
10. I like musicals more than any straight man I know.
