I disagree. In essence, calling something retarded *is* calling it fucking stupid.
My feeling is that you call Christianity retarded, but not Christians as a whole...in the thread title. Then again, you could be construed as making fun of mentally retarded people in the thread title, which is equally uncool.
Just don't call entire groups of people names in thread titles. It's easy, people.
Yeah I meant that "retarded" is a slur generally used towards mentally retarded people, ergo as a slur, it's prohibited in thread titles. "Fucking stupid" doesn't carry the same kind of weight, so it's not a slur, unless you're using it to describe someone.

Retarded is also what you do to the ignition on pre-1950' s motorcycles - unless you WANT to get pitched over the handlebars when kickstarting....

Poop and taco emojis? Was there something wrong with beer and pizza emojis? Those would be much more appealing than poop and tacos. Will be waiting for part 2.

Given enough time, beer, pizza and taco emojis will become poop emojis.

Boru ...except that it will be liquidy with that combination rather than being a solid pile emoji. Probably better add a Pepto Bismol emoji along with that.

So yeah, swearing itself is fine, provided there's some relevancy to the thread. We don't want to see any more stuff like "Christard", "Libtard", etc.
So, for example, would using "creatardism" to describe the "system" of thought be ok, and using "creatard" to describe a spouter of said thought (for a given value of thought, namely 0) be wrong?
PS What happened to the idea I had for free Snickers bars for logging on?

Absent any clarifying policy on the matter, I'm going with no, that would not be OK.

Try it this way: if you have agonize over whether a particular term is appropriate then you probably shouldn’t use it.

As I said before, we'll have to discuss it, but my feeling is that (1) that's purposefully trying to defeat the spirit of the rule by shifting the slur off person(s)/people, and (2) since "retard" is a slur for mentally disabled people, using it, and any derivative, in a thread title should be prohibited.
You really should be asking yourself why you need to describe creationism that way to begin with, though. It's enough to say "creationism is stupid" without using a slur.

I know exactly why I use the term, it's accurate.
