I'm legitimately astonished that with the neverending mountain of problems we have in the west, you routinely fail to present examples that are anything more or less than spider-brained rambling.

And I am astonished that an old story about a Japanese cannibal is somehow linked to the persecution of Muslims. I know that every time I think about the resurgence of violence in Northern Ireland, I get so mad at 14th century Florentine merchants that I can't think straight.

I do have empathy for him, not because he is Muslim, but because he is a fellow human being.
I have the same empathy for Jews who suffered during the Holocaust, but hate Bibi. I have the same empathy for him as I do Kurdish Christians, but hate the KKK here whom are a Christian based organization. I have empathy for Malala, but not Bin Laden.

Yeah, I don't really care about who you empathize with or hate or don't hate. I was making the point that Atlas can't seem to discuss anything without boo-hooing the way some Muslims are treat. The victim card gets old after a while.

He lives under a brutal dictatorship. I think he has a right to bitch. I am only pointing out that while rightfully bitching, you and I don't live in a theocracy, he does.
My only point to him while rightfully bitching about his rulers, don't assume everyone in the west wants to kill him personally. We may be a more open society and I'd agree with that, but we have our dicks too.

Cut him some slack.
It is easy for us in the west to armchair quarterback when we are not the ones living under close the fear he puts up with every day.
I am not saying he is right about everything, he is not.
I don't care if you are a Palestinian fearing an Israeli strike, or an Israeli fearing a Palestinian rocket. When humans in general face trauma, especially on a regular basis, it is going to mentally screw them up.
Even in America, I ran into a Gulf War Vet at a bar. Pasty white guy. But, just like Nam vets, this guy couldn't tell the difference between the objection to politics and personal service. That guy scared the shit out of me. I backed off very quickly because I could tell that what he saw had mentally screwed him up so bad he couldn't reason well. All he knew was that his buddies were killed in front of him.
Soldier, kid, civilian, it does not matter what side, friend or foe, crime or war, trauma affects humans and can skew their perceptions and fuck up their logic.
