https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-47258754

Since WW2 and the fall of the Berlin wall, the idea was widely rejected by any human with a remaining bit of integrity and humanity, but building walls to separate people racially came back to the front pages of human tactics of war with the Israeli West Bank Barrier:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_West_Bank_barrier

The situation is dangerous beyond description, we now have:
1-A state of emergency declared in the U.S -for reasons obviously not convincing-
2-A plan to make "the building of walls like the Berlin wall an accepted fashion worldwide".

This is way bigger than Trump. I repeat Trump is a clown, and idiot following orders of people way bigger than him.

This wall will bring doom to America once and for all, and there will be no America after it. The faces of the men behind Trump already began to show.

It's not about Democrats or Republicans anymore; it''s about a disgusting, zionist wing that laid its eggs deep in American institutions, and now it's hatching.

This is where I part company with you.

Trump isn't just a clown, he is a very dangerous clown. That part I agree with.

But I really do not care if you say Jew or Zionist, trying to wipe an entire nation off the face of the planet is still the goal of Iran. But that does not mean war is a solution either, and be it Israel or Iran or Saudi Arabia, a war will still kill innocent civilians regardless who starts it.

I wish humans would stop thinking we live on a separate planet.

But I do agree this wall bullshit here in America is nothing but selling fear of others and has nothing to do with pragmatically reduce violence.

I was screaming at my TV today when the orange fuckface said "Invasion" and talked about Hispanics the same way the KKK talked about blacks in the 50s and 60s, and the same way Hitler talked about Jews in Germany. Trump, "They(Hispanics) come in, then they bring in 20 to 30 more." implying that they were either cockroaches or breed like rabbits. <--- Same vile scapegoating bullshit.

That is dangerous rhetoric and is the type of rhetoric that has, throughout history, lead to one group committing crimes against humanity.

Instead of saying "Jew or Zionist" talk about Bibi himself. Just like not all Americans support Trump.

Screaming? I just chuckled whenever the fat fuck said it was an invasion. But i guess everyone does things differently.  Hilarious

This will not stand.

Facts don't matter to Trump's faction; nobody will care about the justification of the emergency if there is enough force behind it to push it to the front. And his wing has that force.

My only thought is about the other faction facing Trump: is it strong enough to told him and his wing back?

Please. Trump controls neither the courts nor Congress, either of which can stop this shit. McConnell may refuse to allow the Senate to vote on it, but neither Trump nor McConnell can prevent the courts from taking it up. Given that Justice Roberts seems determined to keep the Roberts court from becoming a politicized, I believe the odds that SCOTUS will allow this stand are near zero.

If he were a lone unknown nut without any political power, I'd be laughing too. But he is in a position of power, and is political rhetoric of scapegoating and vilifying, isn't just about race, religion or nationality, he is also ignoring and even attacking his own intel.

I am dead serious that sane people should take him seriously.  Jefferson once said, "Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions." Yea, under the right conditions sure. But if you live in North Korea not so easy to criticize the power over you.

I guess I just found it interesting how we reacted differently. However, despite me chuckling and shaking my head when he said that stuff I was no doubt raging on the inside.

And the other thing you miss is that this fake emergency is not a real emergency as prior presidents have used. This is clear overreach, and sets a dangerous precedence for a future president to do even worse. One should not simply take this one event today as a single event. When you listen to his rhetoric since he started his run, and while in office, all of it is intended to undermine checks on his power. He is literally talking like a Mafia boss. That is the way you talk when someone tries to question you when you know you are doing something wrong.

Missing something and not stating the obvious isn't the same thing. It's a fake emergency? Wow, not much gets past you.

Oh, but there is an emergency in Trumpworld.  The Toddler in Chief wasn't getting his way and he isn't used to that.  That's the emergency.

Now he is just going to gum up the works even more and resources will be used figure out how to put him in time out.

But at least, for once, he didn't lie.  He said if he didn't get his way by holding his breath and making threats he would try another tactic.

Again, saying congress can vacate it, while true, would depend upon enough of the House and Senate to want to do such, and considering it takes both chambers to pass a bill, and knowing the Senate is still a majority GOP, I doubt that would work. The only way he goes down on this right now are the courts. And considering the current makeup of the SCOTUS, there is one thing he was right about in his vile bigoted rambling today, the lower courts are likely to say no to him, but the SCOTUS is a different story.

Well, a conservative justice and a conservative politician aren't quite the same thing. Kavanaugh admittedly seems to have some screwy ideas about executive power. But a conservative justice is generally pretty likely to take the system of checks and balances pretty seriously. Chief Justice Roberts is not exactly Trump's buddy. My guess is that the case of Trump's national emergency is going to be slow-walked.

Here's an article about how Roberts has likely begun looking to curb executive power in the last couple of months:

Screwy Ideas? Um no, the beer pong Champion is simply the newest GOP SCOTUS in a long line of conservative judges who side with billionaires  and the religious right. Brett is in a very good position to make a ruling to erode even more checks on power, just like Citizens United opened the flood gates to dark money.

It is despite 40 years of conservative dominance we have not turned into a 3rd world theocracy. But it isn't like the right hasn't been trying.

As the saying goes, "boil the lobster slowly".

Here's an article about some wheels that are in motion. Some of you skreetchier types need to learn to take a few deep breaths before being so certain that you are about to get your asses kicked by an orange clown. It's just an orange clown, man. Don't be so eager to surrender.
