After all it is written just as holy writ ought to be. It is self consistent. It explains the creations of everything and has a far more plausible explanation for the origin of evil. We know who it's author is and it was a single inspired man. We have access to his notes. We know who he was. We know what he wrote, when he wrote it and what he was thinking at the time.
None of this is true for your magic book. Compare your magic book to that track record. Your magic book can't even agree with itself. We know it was written by many authors. We don't know who they were. We don't know what they were thinking. We don't know if they were inspired or just plain crazy. They left no notes. We don't know if they even wrote it because there are later additions to the "gospels" that were forged. We know much of it is plagiarised.
Comparing the two texts, your magic book doesn't look too good.
ETA: Also, Eru Iluvatar's creation myth fits the known facts of the universe at large. Your magic book consistently gets it flat out wrong.
What is their creation story? And there we have it. Actual proof that you are not even attempting to read replies.
Gwaithmir just posted the first verses and you didn't even notice, you utter dribbling moron.

It means you are once again misrepresenting things CDF47.
All fossils are effectivly 'Transitional' CDF47.
Pretty sure we've walk down this explanation with you before, CDF47.
It says something either about your memory. .... or your posting habits...
There are no intermediaries that are missing.

I saw the other post. I do read the posts. Just wondering a brief summary of their creation story. What you talking about?

What a joke. I just read about it.

Uhm..... did you miss post/type CDF47?
"There are no intermediaries that are missing" ?
So.... you're happy with all the fossile evidence we've accrued, then? (With more and more being unearthed all the time?)
Sorry, your reply to myself seems unclear.

I don’t care that you said it’s functional. That’s still a description of a thing; not evidence that the thing couldn’t have arisen from natural processes. If the thing was a tiny fairy that farted out microscopic unicorns, you’d still have to provide evidence for how you determined that it would be impossible for a unicorn farting fairy to come about naturally. You don’t get to just point and say, “but look! It’s a fairy that farts out tiny unicorns! Obviously that thing didn’t come about naturally!”
As I said, if that’s the sum and total of your argument, then it’s the sum and total of mine, and you have no defeators to offer that wouldn’t simultaneously defeat your own: Look around you, CDF. Obviously, all of life on earth is the result of small changes over time accumulating into large ones. It’s just fucking obvious.
Quote:It's not obvious.
Yes, it is. Duh.
Quote:Where are all the failed and successful intermediaries between monkey and man.
Even if that were true, it would be irrelevant to my argument, and yours. You don’t know every detail of every step of god’s mechanism of action for designing and creating life. You just look around and see the big-picture result. If you don’t have to provide every tedious detail of how it was done, then neither do I. If circumstantial evidence is good enough for your argument, then it’s plenty good enough for mine. I can just look at modern apes, and it becomes obvious that we evolved. Scientists agree with me, and the ones that don’t are obviously just peddling a conspiracy.
How does it feel, CDF? Now, imagine I do this for 1,200 pages. You’d be as ready to drink as I am.
JK; I’m always ready to drink.

i am pleased that we dug up enough fossils to prove my point.

JK; I’m always ready to drink. The difference is I provided plenty of proof and evidence though where you have not. Just because main stream brain washing centers, I mean schools rather, don't have all the answers and don't provide all the information and don't let students know there is a debate about this.
I use to always be ready to drink as well, LOL. Now I am more of just a social drinker.
Just to clarify, I think there are plenty of good schools but they don't teach all the truth like COINTELPRO or MK Ultra, for instance. They don't teach about secret societies or many other key topics for discussion.

Uhm..... me thinks you're a tad off with the way the verb 'Explosion' is being used there.
Well... the death toll of an 'Old Earth' might be of some concern to some one who posits a deity that is purported to hold certain attributes. No?
Also, if you're okay with all the transitional fossils. You should be tickety-boo with the follow on 'Descent of man' what with all those transitional fossils abounding and such....

They are not abounding. I used explosion correctly.

Having fun so far?
