Ramadan 2019: a late congratulation
===================Ramadan 2019=================================
This is a late congratulation, I hope all Muslims the sick and the well to have a nice fasting, or if they couldn't fast to be able to compensate for their missing days.

رمضان كريم يا مسلمين. ان شاء الله تصوموا بخير, او تقوموا بتعويض ما فاتكم بكل يسر وبدون اي متاعب, لغل الصيام يكون في مصلحتكم و التعويض ايضاُ.

So congrats. And excel in doing good during this holy month.
I hope happy days for the non-Muslims who are nice to Muslims too.

God says in the Quran:

Quote:Sura 2, The Quran:

Sahih International

(185) The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.
( 186 ) And when My servants ask you, concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me and believe in Me that they may be guided.

Is it cruelly psychotic of me that I dream of opening a halal restaurant right next to a mosque and only cooking during Ramadan?

You'd make a killing on the night shift.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Nah, no night shift.  That's where the 'cruelty' part comes in.

You know Boru; there are lots of noble causes that can be derived from fasting the month. It makes a Muslim feel the poor more for example.

The crushing majority of muslims -are- the poor.  I try not to delude myself into thinking that the fact that I don't stop for lunch at taco bell gives me insight into their lived experience, lol.

Maybe, then, a Muslim who fasts should take the food he doesn't eat during Ramadan and give it to the poor.  While I don't doubt this happens, I'm a little skeptical as to how widespread it might be.

Yeah, suffering is noble.  I've heard that rubbish before.
