We will turn her over for trial in Britain if the MI5 publishes trump's tax returns.

A friend of mine that is a traffic cop, told me that a diplomat, shitfaced (traffic cops can tell) caused an accident (no injuries, just material damage). The guy presented his diplomatic card and he couldn't run the alcohol test on him after that, on penalty of disciplinary action. The guy even was an asshhole to him and his patrol partner.

So, its true that there are 1st class and 2nd class citizens. Take notice that when there is a traffic accident, all intervinients are bound to do a drug and alcohol test, well, at least those second class citizens.

A foreign diplomat is not a citizen.

Immunity of the accredited envoy from host judiciary is a basic tenant of diplomacy that dates to time immemorial.   It exists to prevent envoy from being pressured by his negotiating partner pressing charges against him personally.


However, it is also customary for the envoy's country to later waive diplomatic immunity when it is clear the envoy likely committed a serious crime, particularly if the act is criminal in both the host country and the envoy's own country.
