His mother has significant African ancestry and looks black but whether she identifies as black.... most Latinos even if they’re ink dark avoid identifying as black. I’m a rarity in being an Afro-Latina that embraces my blackness

I should also point out that in the police interview, Zimmerman at the very least shows he's okay with being identified as white.
