It has a large, trained, reserve force and mountainous terrain, good luck.

Quite surprising - and I'm probably not as far left as you. On oil - I'd like to see a lot of research done into alternative fuels to reduce reliance on foreign oil in unstable and/or unfriendly nations. I realize the importance of petroleum in our lives, and find bumper sticker platitudes like "no blood for oil" a bit over-simplistic. However, I don't support going to war for the purpose of seizing natural resources. I'm not a fan of imperialism. But I am all for defense. Sometimes it's good for staying alive, but otherwise it's stupid. 42

I too would rather see more cash pumped into alteratives and research so the western world doesnt have to be reliant on the middle east. They've never had anything worth taking. No precious natural resources (no more than anywhere else, anyway), no real strategic value in occupying that land, difficult to get in and out of compared to other countries around it because of the mountains. If it had anything worth having, it would have had its shit ruined long ago. ON TOPIC: I'm not against war. RE: War

It has a lot of money owned/stolen by the ultra rich. Plus it's a very nice vacaton spot. There's two good reasons there to invade.

I'm opposed to the idea of war... It is obviously never going to stop as long as we have the separations we do, but if everyone was like me then shit would be great for all.

It'd be a shittier looking place to take your holidays with a bunch of craters blown in it and the cities burnt to the ground... |
