1. Yes the topic is the risks which has not invoked the hostility .Questions of your motivation for bringing it as some people who do often have less then noble intentions .So no this is not evidence.

So no simply bringing up the subject isn't the cause of hostility .The motivations of religious types bringing it up can invoke hostility as often they have ulterior motives for doing so .

The opening remarks are quite unwelcoming. They reek of apathy and hostility, not exactly sure why you expect any cordial, sympathetic responses.

If Mr Brewer brought this up or Mr.wizard they would not face hostility as the chances of them being a homophobe are nil . The same cannot be presupposed for the OP.

At pro LGBT events were safe sex is discussed (and i have been to plenty) the chances of them being a homophobe are nil. The same cannot be presupposed for online forum threads

Your getting push back because your saying, "anal sex is harmful", and it has pointed out to you that while anal sex can be harmful it doesn't mean that it's always harmful, it's not like every time you have anal sex you get an STD. It's like saying driving a car is harmful because your chances of dying in a car crash increase when you drive one.

Thanks Mr.wizard for confirming the facts. Im getting push back because im telling the truth, not because of any paranoid notions of religious motivations.

So what if someone did have religious motivations. Doesn't change the facts.

So while it is not "always harmful" a person becomes morally responsible when it does cause harm.
