The Welfare thread (calling on Mehmet here)

I couldn't find a place where such a thread would fit, but with Turkey being in the wake of a major earthquake, I wanted to check to see whether Mehmet and his family were OK.
I thought it might be a fair thread to maintain, through which we can all express care for those on the board.
So, Mehmet, are you safe and sound? Are your family and friends OK?

Was thinking yesterday as the news broke that I hope mehmet and his family are NOT in the earthquake zone and if they ARE then they are ok.... (Shaken but not stirred?...yeah sorry about the pun  )

I'm going to move this to "Off-topic," since this forum is reserved for issues with the site. I am not entirely certain that we have more members from Turkey, but I can sticky this thread until such a time as they all or just Mehmet check in and tell us how they are faring, if you wish.
ETA: Scratch that. Mehmet is our only Turkish member.
