For me, it was the remnants of ethnic cleansing units in the balkans, drug dealers, gun runners, and sex traffickers.

Those are both valid perspectives. It would not surprise me, however, to learn that US military forces have saved more lives than they have taken.

Yeah, that's how it rolls. You risk your life to curbstomp some child snatching operation...but the local pimp gets rolled up, so the town at the bottom of the hill that you sleep on ends up hating you on account of a lack of cheap pussy.
Hating you so much that they disassemble an old 105 and put it on the side of the road along your patrol.
That's Mt. Improbable for peacekeepers. No matter where you go and no matter how much of a force for good you are, the perception is foreign invader. The people who depend on you root for your failure, and you have to find a way to keep on keepin on, and risking your life for people who would just as soon take your life.

Really? Can you list the humanitarian projects undertaken by ISIS? Can you name the nations restored to autonomy by ISIS? Can you give us an idea of the number of ISIS fighters who have who have gone on to be successful in the private sector?
Alternately, how many videos are there of the US Army beheading journalists? When and where has the US Army routinely deployed child soldiers? Which World Heritage sites have been destroyed or defaced by the US Army?

Each fiscal year, the health insurance group sends identification cards to me in pairs. One has logos, numbers, names, scan codes and the important things. The other is pure white except for the black "INTENTIONALLY BLANK," centered on one side. I keep it handy for these occasions. Just to be clear.
