If I had been that deputy, I would have been reasonable about the incident. I mean, I STILL would have punched her in the head, but that’s a reasonable response.

Unless there are facts which haven’t yet been released, I hope this deputy isn’t charged.

If the facts are correct it seems like reasonable force.

People taken into custody and inmates are known to bite. Sometimes it's the only thing they think they can do...can't really swing at someone if you have cuffs on and some know a bite leads to a law enforcement officer or corrections officer having to endure many medical tests and precautionary treatment protocols even if the skin isn't broken.

My brother has been bitten several times during his years as a prison guard.

But she's lawyered up and is barking "lawsuitv already...



I hope the cop countersues.... The department should provide his lawyers as it was an OTJ incident...

One of my exes had friends that lived up in the UP and they both worked at the prison. Biters are common....
