It's a conclusion favored by your bias.
Do you think it might have something to do with those $1200 cheques that Trump was tossing about like party favors?
And the fact that all the gun stores stayed open as "essential businesses" while so many other stores had closed?
Perhaps you are right about first time gun buyers. But most of the gun owners I know have bought something in the past couple months.

With two guns, one in each hand, one gun is badly aimed, if at all. It gets worse with three guns. Ad infinitum.

I practiced two handed shooting when I had a pair of Ruger Blackhawks in .30 carbine. These are single action revolvers - cowboy gun - that require the hammer to be pulled back with each shot. (And take 2 hands to reload)(.30 carbine is LOUD in a revolver. They catch everyone's attention at the range they have such a harsh report)
I practiced for almost a year and never really got good at it. You are better off simply shooting one gun empty then switching guns.
Two handed just looks good in movies.

"Booming", yes. One local gun store did $.25M on the day that the lock down was ordered. Not a single round left in the store, unless one considers that the employees carry. I did manage to find some CCI Mini-Mags, though, at a different store.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Maybe, maybe not.

Of COURSE it's a conclusion favoured by my bias. I happily admit to a certain bias when it comes to gun ownership.

It must be awful to live in a country where people are so scared they need to be armed
