Perhaps you are right about first time gun buyers. But most of the gun owners I know have bought something in the past couple months.
It's what disposable income is for.
Of COURSE it's a conclusion favoured by my bias. I happily admit to a certain bias when it comes to gun ownership.

It's a wedge issue very effectively used by right wing nutbars to compel gun owners to vote against their own interests. Their version of the left wing nutbars assault rifle scare. The focal point for untold amounts of dark money funneled into candidacies.

Preppers are doing a wonderful service to the eventual raiders of a post apocalyptic america. Getting all that ammo in one place would be a pia.
