Tell me there is a contradiction? you see it only as a contradiction, of course there is no contradiction in the Qur'an, are they still not trying to understand and understand the Qur'an? By someone other than Allah (if it had been sent down), they would have found many contradictions in it.nisa 82

Also, lets assume there are no contradtictions in the Quran.......so what? Huh

There is no verse contradicting science in the Qur'an, and the Qur'an is the word of God.

If you open your mind, the contradictions are there.

Here's one then theist nutball: The Koran clearly states that there is and should be no compulsion in religion, and yet it also clearly states that apostates should be killed. If that's not a contradiction then I'm a dancing violet CCTV camera.

that killing incident, in the war, my friend, there is no coercion in religion except her

Christians admit that there is a contradiction in the Bible. We Muslims prove that there is no contradiction in the Quran.

I have been online since 2001 debating religion on almost a daily basis. I have debated every major religion in the world you can think of. Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and even once a Rasta.

Sorry, but you all make the same arguments. "You aren't reading it correctly"..... "You don't have the right print/version" " You picked the wrong sect"

If there were no contradictions in the Quran then why do Sunnis and Shiites fight like cats and dogs? If there were no contradictions in the bible then why do Catholics and Baptists and Mormons disagree? If there were no contradictions in Buddhism, then why can't Tibet Buddhists get along with Chinese Buddhists and why cant Chinese Buddhists get along with Japanese Buddhists?

This is what is called "The True Scotsman Fallacy". And I don't like it even when atheists try to pull it.

I am an atheist, I don't believe in any god. Stalin also was an atheist, but I hate that fucker. Some atheists value Che Guevara, the asshole who lead to Castro's Cuba. I hate him too. But, I also am no fan of atheist Ayn Rand, who had the economic view of "fuck you, I got mine".

Just because you don't like how someone else views a particular claim/view/writing does not change the thought in their head.

Bin Laden was a Muslim as much as Malala is. KKK members are as much Christians as MLK was.  Ayn Rand was as much an Atheist as I am.

What that ultimately says to me, is that morality ISNT in label, and especially not in old mythology, but in our evolution, in our behaviors as individuals.

But when you use the word "Contradiction" in regards to the claims of antiquity, I don't care what religion you are claiming. The entire species worldwide in every religion was far more ignorant of scientific reality than we are today.

If you want to argue people are capable of being good, I can agree to that. If you want to argue that people are capable of morality and non violence, I also agree. But it isn't a patent owned by one gang/group/ label/tradition.  There is not one nation, friend or foe alike, that does not have hospitals or prisons. That says to me our species capability for compassion and non violence isn't rooted in old mytholgy.

There is a lot of verses that contradict reality, and therefore science in the Koran. Like when Koran claims there are three types of spiritual beings angels, demons and jinns. Or Surah Al Jinn chapter 27 where Muhammad describes how he came upon a crowd of Jinns.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
