Raven about Polls ..... History or myth?

Raven about Polls ..... History or myth?
I watched a documentary on PBS a long time ago. And some historians suspect that poet Edgar Allen Poe might have participated in voter fraud. Mind you, I say, "might have". Not even the narrator was willing to say it was true. But Poe was found defunct, disoriented, in cloths that didn't fit him,  blocks away from a polling place at the time. There was a real scam at the time, where people were paid to vote, then change their appearance and go back and vote again. There is no solid evidence that Poe was actually part of it. But he was broke at the time.

But while this might be fun fodder for crop circle lovers, in reality, we DO literally have a GOP party in California that has put out phony ballot boxes not legally sanctioned by state election laws, and in Texas, a bunch of fucking dicks and GOP judges limiting one box to a county.

Poe or Brian...or both?

Poe. Brian’s issues are of a much more prosaic nature.

A few years ago in a Literature class I took we had to read a book that was a fictionalized version of what happened to Poe.  It was so bad that I can't remember the name of it or enough about it to Google it.  The author had supposedly done some research and came up with a scenario regarding Poe's last few months of life.  It was bad...really bad.

To add insult to injury the author spoke at the school and we were expected to attend.  His presentation was worse than the book.

People are always giving brain tumors the shit. I say don't knock 'em until you've tried 'em. They make political argument tolerable, improve Michael Bay movies by adding additional sound effects and more colorful explosions and help you guide Phyllis Stein out of the soggy wilderness.

Sounds like good fun. While I haven’t known the many, many joys of a brain tumor, I did have a brain aneurysm (found and treated early).

But of all the hypotheses about Poe’s death, a brain tumor seems the most likely - certainly more likely than cooping.

In another age he would have been a shaman, a seer, he-who-talks-for-the-gods.

And still would have died at 40.
