Poe. Brian’s issues are of a much more prosaic nature.

A few years ago in a Literature class I took we had to read a book that was a fictionalized version of what happened to Poe. It was so bad that I can't remember the name of it or enough about it to Google it. The author had supposedly done some research and came up with a scenario regarding Poe's last few months of life. It was bad...really bad. To add insult to injury the author spoke at the school and we were expected to attend. His presentation was worse than the book.

People are always giving brain tumors the shit. I say don't knock 'em until you've tried 'em. They make political argument tolerable, improve Michael Bay movies by adding additional sound effects and more colorful explosions and help you guide Phyllis Stein out of the soggy wilderness.

Sounds like good fun. While I haven’t known the many, many joys of a brain tumor, I did have a brain aneurysm (found and treated early). But of all the hypotheses about Poe’s death, a brain tumor seems the most likely - certainly more likely than cooping. Boru

In another age he would have been a shaman, a seer, he-who-talks-for-the-gods.
