Trump is right! I am tired of Covid! BUT just because we are over it doesn't mean it is over!

Quote:White House literally praises Trump for 'ending the COVID-19 pandemic'
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

And three days later, America came the closest it's come to having 100,000 new cases in one day since the pandemic started. And somehow, I expect that sometime this coming week, we'll reach the 100,000 new cases per day threshold.

In Au and NZ, our approach to the pandemic is sooooo alternative, it's ridiculous. We use this thing called science and common sense. And now we have zero cases. Who knew
You guys and Europe (I'm not going to pick on many other less prosperous nations) have dealt with this in a catastrophic way which will cause more stress personally and economically in the long run. your governments are 100% accountable and should even be jailed for mass murder by gross negligence and incompetence. Let us all pray for a cure, because nothing else will save you guys.

You know, I can remember a certain dumbass from Australia who used to post here, he demanded that, because Australia had managed to keep the virus under control, any and all lockdown restrictions end. I wonder what happened to him. Probably managed to be one of the casualties in the late summer winter spike in cases.

So, it looks like there's new restrictions coming to Chicago. It's stopping short of another lockdown, but there's a stay at home advisory starting on the 16th where people are asked to:
Practice social distancing by staying 6 feet away from others and wearing a face covering at all times. Not hold any gatherings at home with anyone outside their household, “even with trusted family or friends;” use remote communication for the holidays. Avoid all non-essential and out-of-state travel, following the travel guidelines if travel is necessary. Not have guests in their homes unless they are essential workers (e.g., home healthcare providers or childcare workers.) Cancel traditional Thanksgiving celebrations. Avoid travel. I'm not going to put it past Lightfoot and Pritzker to instate another lockdown, but then again, given that lockdowns haven't been too bad for me, I probably wouldn't be too disappointed.
