High percent of republicans refusing covid vaccination
Half of Republican men say they don’t want the vaccine. They’re mooching off the rest of us.

Quote:In a recent NPR/PBS/Marist survey, fully 49% of Republican men said they do not plan to get vaccinated — a higher share of refusers than any other demographic group. Among Democratic men, the number saying no was only 6%......

.....They don’t trust the federal government — and they trust it even less since Joe Biden came to the White House. They don’t trust scientists, and they especially don’t trust Dr. Anthony Fauci, Biden’s chief medical advisor.

Many tell pollsters they’re worried that the vaccine might not be safe. Such fears have been fed by Fox News, whose star polemicist Tucker Carlson has frequently accused authorities of “lying” about the vaccine’s safety and effectiveness.

Opinions regarding this refusal? Mine: selfish, arrogant, will only cause harm to others by spreading the disease, waste medical resources if they do become ill and divert those medical resources away from the those with greater needs.

Being a republican needs to come with a warning label just like a pack of smokes or a bottle of liquor.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

At work.

So... half of a certain group are refusing medication?

Okay. (Not that it's quite ethical but...) So the Medical profession and the greater community at large can likewise refuse further medication in the foreseeable future when/if they actually do contract ths disease? Heck, or other general medical procedures for that matter?

Just wondering.

I'm a liberal and I'm not getting the vaccine. Go figure.

The government should institute an official card system. If you've received your vaccine, you get a card. Businesses can choose to serve or not serve you if you don't have a card.

(Yeah, I know. That sounds Orwellian, but I think this is where we've come to with conservatives.)

We in the medical field can still work our jobs not having had the vaccine. We just need to wear a mask, exactly like we used to do during flu season when we didn't want to get a flu shot.

No, pesky medical ethics.

People die on a daily basis who qualify for the Darwin Award. C-19 is nothing special.

Some people are determined to make it so that we can't have nice things, so that they can then complain that we don't have nice things, as an argument for why they should be in charge of nice things.
