One item of significance that you have had forever?

I won't bother with the dick jokes.

I'm not sentimental about objects. The single oldest thing I have kept is my Roman History text from college in 1970. It was that book which started my now 40 year old investigation of religious bullshit.

Like you Min, I'm not sentimental about objects. My house could burn to the ground tomorrow, and as long as no one is injured, I'd simply look forward to buying a bunch of new shit with my big fat insurance check.

I seriously can't think of a single item that I would truly be sad about losing ... and I have some nice shit!

I'm the same. I don't care to much for objects... As long as one of my guitars survive a house fire, I would be fine Tongue

Hahaha, Oro - I'm sure it was on TV at summer camp. That's why I can't pick one thing I value the most - there are stories attached to all these things that get passed down and the stories themselves are the thing.

I'm not a good story-teller like Rhythm is when he's got the whiskey out and is in full Irish swing, but you might call me something of an avid story collector. I am the repository of my friends' misdeed and drama (fortunately and unfortunately) and gradually becoming so for my family as well.

I have a large 20 year old polar bear teddy bear that I have had since I turned 5/6. Means the world to me.

I do have one comic that I kind of treasure, it is issue 1 of the amazing Spiderman Tongue

My dad gave me it quite a few years back... But, if it ever got damaged it wouldn't bother me a huge amount, as I still have the memory of it and what that gift really meant to me.

Ya know I really don't remember??.. {Still unpacking boxes here}

I did come across a pic I have had for ages of my Grandpop who was a real inspiration to me all his life. It is one thing that I would hate to loose

I don't tend to get sentimental or collect old stuff. The only object of some sentimental value would be my piano that I've had for almost as long as I've been playing. I have some really old pictures I've drawn too, but I'm too ashamed to show them to other people Big Grin
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
