I was clearly talking about the unborn as human organisms and not as body parts in the context of a discussion about the inherent value of human life. Maybe I am not very artful but at least I am not a grammar scold.

Fair enough, and accurate. It still doesn't nullify the point. No one argues the ethics of removing a skin tag despite the thousands of "potential humans" humans being destroyed. Imagine if we ever made cloning humans legal and common

Agreed. The position that conceptions only results in humans is false.

The unborn has been compared to existing as a parasite.
The placenta uses a cloaking device similar to that used by parasites to avoid detection by the mother's immune system.

Embryo ≠ Parasite
Embryo = A developing organism prior to birth.
Parasite = An organism that feeds on the cell contents, tissues, or body fluids of another species, while in or on the host organism.

Quote:Embryo ≠ Parasite
Which it acts like
Quote:Embryo = A developing organism prior to birth.
An organism that feeds off the host as it grows and develops
Quote:Parasite = An organism that feeds on the cell contents, tissues, or body fluids of another species, while in or on the host organism.
An organism that feeds on its host as it grows and develops

Irrelevant
By the way, he said exists like a parasite not that it literally was one. There is that reading issue again.

Feeding off is an inaccurate description of the exchange of nutrients that occurs in the placenta.

Parasites are defined by their function and behavior—to exist like a parasite is to be a parasite.

Nope it's a sufficient description
Nope, To exist LIKE a parasite is to says it has behaviors similar to parasitic organisms (feeding off a host).By contrast, if it were a literal parasite it would also for example need to be a separate species which it is not.
Again bad counters

Semantics games seem to be all the Breezy one has.
Neo's being disingenuous again as well. He made a poor argument. When it's pointed out that it's a poor argument, instead of making a better one, he accuses others of being grammar trolls.
Neo, unless you meant something your words utterly failed to convey, your argument is either that zygotes = human organisms, or that we should afford rights to potential humans. Which is it?!?
