I don't think it's trolling. It's how he sees things.
The argument isn't good, however, for the reason I listed. There is no trick. Pro-choicers have perfectly good reasons for frowning upon doing things which are unhealthy to a fetus. And just because they subscribe to this reasoning doesn't mean they accept the pro life position in any way, shape, or form..

Having a drink while pregant does not cause fetal alcohol. Being drunk throughout a pregnancy certainly can.
Women who do everything perfectly when pregnant and before also can end up with a severly disabled baby. What a woman does or does not do during pregnancy doesn't guarantee anything.
