Job is the best example.

But there’s no discord in that story, just poor old Job being tortured for no good reason.

Yeah sorry, I was under the impression "discord" could also mean the same thing as "ruination", but I looked it up on Google, and it turns out I was wrong. But what about the story of Jesus? Jesus and the religious authorities of His time, were in a state of discord between each other.

Maybe that’s another bit you conveniently ‘don’t remember’.

Boru
He will allow discord to bring about a greater good.

"He will allow discord to bring about a greater good" is just a factual statement.

I don't think you know the definition of factual. What you claimed was an assertion.

Yes He did. When He asked, "Where are you?", it wasn't that He didn't know where they were or what had happened, it was said as a confirmation that He did, in fact, know what Adam and Eve had done.

Yes, I've read it.

No, you have not. What is your position on human sacrifice?

Assuming for the moment that the Jesus story is factual (it isn’t), what ‘greater good’ was achieved by it? We’re always being told that Jesus died for our sins. If that’s so, he could have written a manifesto and thrown himself under the next passing oxcart - the results would have been the same.

So, if God created this discord, he didn’t manage to achieve any greater good by doing so, and we’re left with the conclusion that God creates discord for its own sake. That’s kinda nutty. You should expect better from your Supreme Being.

-because those authorities were wrong, says the book from the people who think jesus was right?

You're assuming He didn't? I've read some texts that sound like they could've been written by Jesus.
