What bothers me is you not being genuinely interested enough in what was being said to come up with a sensible comment. It takes two seconds to realize OP inferred that there might be parallels between the fictional world in 1984 and the contemporary state of affairs.

I understand and appreciate goofing around. I like goofballs. At first I thought you might be a fun person who says off the wall stuff, IDK. I'm starting to have doubts.
