I don't believe in your god for the same reason I don't believe in Allah, Odin, Zeus, Neptune, pixies, honest politicians or the tooth fairy .... no evidence for any of them!
Why do you believe in a god, what was it that convinced you that one exists?

Why do you believe in a god, what was it that convinced you that one exists? I just always knew God was real. No one needed to convince me. I guess it's just one of those things that you either feel in your heart, or you don't.

Always? you knew about god at 1 month old??
Don't you find it odd that most Christians come from Christian families, most Moslems come from Moslem families ... how many people look at all the worlds religions before deciding on one? Seems to me that it's more like conditioning than a reasoned response to reality

Seems to me that it's more like conditioning than a reasoned response to reality Well I know my parents took me to Mass when I was a baby. But that "conditioning" wouldn't have led me to believe in God, if I wasn't already pre-disposed to believing in God on a spiritual level, the same way atheists grow up not really believing in religious stuff.

Fact is that children of pagan parents grew up polytheistic; during the Middle Ages, many pagans who converted to Christianity ended up converting back to their former paganism.

That is absolute nonsense! Most atheists grew up in a religious home and spent a significant time believing in said religion. I am a prime example. I didn't reject religion until I was in my late 20's and even then I hung on to the possibility of god until my mid-30's. About 95% of all atheists I've met had a very similar experience. This is a bullshit argument that I've heard time and time again and you simply don't know what the blue fuck you are talking about. The true fact is that most people accept the religion that they grew up believing. For the minority who don't, most of those merely change religious beliefs, Catholic to Protestant or Muslim to Hindu, and so forth. Only a small minority reject religion altogether because most religions practice various forms of indoctrination and some practice brain washing to the degree of abuse.

And that is completely irrelevant to what I said.
To put a finer point to it, yes I agree that you can believe in god without practicing any established religion. So what? Everything I posted before is still fact.

And that is completely irrelevant to what I said. No, it's relevant. You said you rejected religion, and then, some time later, rejected the idea of God. For an atheist, rejecting religion will always lead to rejecting the idea of God. But it doesn't have to be that way.
