Noteworthy News
RE: Noteworthy News
I read an article this morning stating that based on work in Nigeria, Ivermectin appears to cause sterility in 85% of men. The medicine is used there to treat river blindness, a condition caused by bites from infected black flies.
Why is it so?

Well, I recommend it to all anti-vaxers, then!  I just don't want others to be taken in.  I hope Joe Rogan doesn't want more kids.

I kind of hope Ivermectin causes sterility in men, but the evidence is slim.

I saw this earlier and my first thought was: Good, they don't need to be breeding anyway.

If I were actually sexually active (or at least able to keep a girlfriend who isn’t a dakimakura of an underrated 2000s starlet), and I didn’t know that it’s more known to kill people than sterilize them, I’d seriously consider taking it.

I wonder if this was just people’s way of trying to create fake news to counter the fake news that it’s an effective cure for COVID by someone who didn’t think that impotence might hit people closer to where they live.

Of course they're not. My initial thought was that this could have been fake news to scare people off of the dewormer, but then I find myself wondering: won't that actually be a plus to a lot of men? Reducing the chances of unwanted pregnancy, like I thought? You'd think that men would be more scared by the thought that they'll stay limp than shooting blanks if the fake news scenario was totally plausible. I'm not sure if my wording was bad, but I thought this would have been clearer. If I thought it would make me limp, as opposed to sterile, I don't think I would have even entertained the thought.

The former gives the same results as the latter in most cases - but not vice versa.....

This is one lucky cat.

I was thinking, if the cat is a stray the people who caught it could take it home and name it "Snowflake" after the Dolphin mascot from "Ace Ventura."
