If you say so. Wink

I don’t have to. The people it matters to say so. That’s my point. Holy shit, lol.

"People"?

Here’s a question:

Who should care what annoys you and why?

How many times in a row are you going to respond to this thread?

Perhaps a few more - and we will know how little you care.....

Says the man who was only "annoyed" by a word used in a news article. Yet started a whole freaking thread to whimper about it. Then lashes out at anyone who criticizes you about it. Yeah that's the actions of someone who is just "annoyed"  Dodgy

I didn’t say “I don’t care.” I asked you, “who should care what annoys you, and why?” Maybe work on those reading comprehension skills.

And to answer your question, maybe I’ll reply twelve more times in a row. Ya know…since clearly it annoys you. 😏

Which is why I do not listen to NPR anymore. It's identity politics all day, every day, as if that's all anyone cares about.

But didn't you see what happened, Neo? Biker created this alarmist thread about how overly sensitive people are, and (turns out) biker is the one who is overly sensitive. Someone said, "Hey, this article about pregnancy didn't employ female pronouns." And biker was like, "What the fuck is happening to society!?"

It's a pattern I see. The critics of the online left are just as hyperbolic as those they purport to criticize (if not more).

It's odd how being considerate of others is now termed "PC".

Who exactly - are they being considerate for?

Safe bet - no direct answer forthcoming.

You know what annoys me that I hear in media all the time?

"Things are getting too PC!"

Oh no! People are being polite to one another and not being assholes! Whatever will we do!
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.

I swear I've read and re-read definitions of "identity politics" and I still cannot fully understand what is meant by that.

But you have stated something that I've debated many times before.  NPR is not a strong left leaning news agency.  Analyses have determined that NPR news tends to lean slightly left, which I think is fine.  But when you do a similar analysis of agencies like Fox, OAN, NewsMaxx, those are outrageously right leaning.  There are others that lean left and to me news should be delivered neutrally or at worst with only a slight bias.  So, no fan of the right can criticize any news agency for leaning left as long as Fox, et. al exists.

BTW, when I ask people who claim this about NPR to name a specific piece that demonstrates what they are talking about, I always hear nothing but crickets.

Someone else mentioned earlier in the thread that this appears to mostly be righties who feel pressured by the left to behave a certain way.  And I suppose those of us on the left are not supposed to feel angry by righties who pressure us to behave in certain ways?
Why is it so?
