I hate to break it to you, but a sufficiently committed guerrilla force with a shitton of expendable members willing to kill themselves for what they consider the greater good



has an alarmingly good track record against even the biggest and most modern armies.

For more information, see literally everything the US army has done overseas in the past 70 years with the exception of the first Gulf War.

Please explain why then the Soviets and then the US and NATO with all their technology and might - couldn't dominate a bunch of goatherders 15 minutes out of the stone age in Afghanistan......

Both were a case of Geography and the fact both groups receiving foreign help. Also, suggest you look up the casualty list between the two forces it's pretty stark.No military has ever been stopped because the populous was armed. So that myth can be put to rest.

The issue is deeper than just having an armed populace or even having crucial foreign allies. Algeria had no allies that I can find when they fought for their independence. The FLN’s casualties far outweighed the French casualties. And yet Algeria managed to win the war and their independence.

Yeah now ask how many American weekend warriors are willing to die by the thousands. Also, Algeria didn't have allies but France wasn't allowed to go all out, and again Viet Nam had huge amounts of Soviet and Chinese help and the Americans were handicapped by public opinion also again I bring up geography.

If you want to understand the problem the us military would face with a us insurgency, don't look to our foreign wars - look to our jan 6 nutbars and their relaxed prosecutions. Imagine how much less appetite there will be for killing cletus as opposed to kamal.

The weekend warriors don't want to fight, they want to use their guns. They're talking about genocide and ethnic cleansing, not war.
