Valid medical exemptions are very, very rare. Consider most of them socioiatel ass kissing.

Don't get to excited and run out to kiss/lick runny nosed kids. This is a small study.

People who build up high levels of immune cells from coronaviruses that cause the common cold could have some protection against COVID-19, according to a small study published Monday in Nature Communications. ....... Previous studies have shown that T cells created from other coronaviruses can recognize SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. In the new study, researchers at Imperial College London found that the presence of these T cells at the time of COVID-19 exposure could reduce the chance of getting infected.

I'm currently fighting a cold. The infection doesn't present like Covid, but I caught it from my son who has worked the entire time for a $2/hour bump in pay. He works in the paint department and sees hundreds of customers a day. I strongly suspect that it has swept through our house with us none the wiser, tbh.

An analysis of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 finds that those with no history of epilepsy had more than 3 times the odds of suffering a new-onset seizure than patients with epilepsy were to have breakthrough seizures (odds radio [OR] 3.15, P < .0001), researchers reported at the annual meeting of the American Epilepsy Society.
And in related news:
Although their ages were similar, patients with epilepsy were nearly 1.5 times more likely to die of COVID-19 than other infected patients at a hospital system during the first 14 months of the pandemic, according to a new study presented at the annual meeting of the American Epilepsy Society. While the findings are preliminary and not yet adjusted for various confounders, the authors say they are a warning sign that patients with epilepsy may face higher risks.

Quebec, Canada's second most populous province, announced on Tuesday that adult residents who refuse to get vaccinated against COVID-19 will face a financial penalty.
The amount hasn't been decided yet, but it will be "significant" and more than $100. More details will be released at a later date, The Associated Press reported.
"Those who refuse to get their first doses in the coming weeks will have to pay a new health contribution," Premier Francois Legault said during a news conference.

No different to the 4c fuel levy we had here to pay for something completely unrelated to cars or roads... At least in this case they are targeting the right people, sort of.

Just got home from the doctor. Probable sinus infection that most likely started with a mild case of omicron. She said that doctors are going nuts because omicron presents differently in everybody. I have been battling my sinuses for two weeks but figured it was my usual semi-annual sinus infection made worse by whatever the wind blew in a couple weeks ago.
Dandy. Waiting for the pharmacy to let me know my antibiotics are ready to pick up.

At one time our CVS was a week behind in filling non emergency prescriptions and would not answer the phone. With this outbreak I can't imagine it's changed much.
