The Rashidun caliphate was the first muslim empire. It had only four rulers until it was overthrown after a civil war and lasted a mere 30 years. Its third ruler was already assassinated. This tradition continued. The second caliphate didnt last much longer, 100 years. After that you see more internal division, strife, sedition and unrest.

Islam, like Christianity, while spreading violently as a whole, was, is and will always be plagued by internal subdivision. If you need evidence, just have a look in the mirror. From a historic perspective, you are no more than just a further contribution to Islams subdivision and downfall.

Which one? The Abbasid caliphate? It lasted 100 years, before it fractured due to internal subdivision for another 100 years. Your gods track record of keeping muslims from fighting each other still is miserable.
It then was controlled for 200 years by foreign powers (Bujids and Seljuqs). Strong? Not so much, i guess. For another 100 years it gained back control, only to be crushed by the Mongols. Strong? I doubt so.

When empires collapse, they usually become "vassals" of the successful powers around; the Muslims became vassals of the west in our time; especially the Arab countries, each western superpower has its vassals around the Middle East; and when one of the vassals "revolt" or "change loyalty" they get butchered, like Iraq during Saddam's reign.

I wouldn't say "Muslim(s)" but a single "Muslim" ruler did that, I would understand though if Mongols butchered eastern Muslims only, but they didn't stop there and kept butchering the whole world.
