I'm a massive Nine Inch Nails fan. I have every 'Halo' release, a few international duplicates, all the DVDs, a few concert lithographs, you name it.
I listen to a variety of music, but mostly varieties of rock music. Lately I've been really into the work of Warren Ellis, Radiohead, and, of course, The Beatles.
Here's my last.fm profile for an exact breakdown.

I was raised on Classic country music - Johnny Cash, George Jones, Johnny Horton, Waylon Jennings, Emmylou Harris and when I was 10 years old rolling my papers - I was a newspaper boy - I saw a TV commercial for the Rock Band KISS and it blew me away. I started out buying all of their albums and was in the KISS Army. From there I was into mostly rock, although in my 30 I began to appreciate my country roots more.
I listened to Alice Cooper, Elton John, Pink Floyd and then in my late teens and early 20s I really got into Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. Those three were probably the most influential to me and the most appreciated. But at that same time I began buying pretty much everything from AC/DC to ZZ Top. Aerosmith, Allman Brothers Band, Bad Company, Jeff Beck, Black Sabbath, Blondie, Pat Benatar, The Byrds, The Cars, Cheap Trick, CCR, The Doors, Eagles, ELO, Fleetwood Mac, Guess Who, Guns 'n Roses Janis Joplin, Journey, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Lynryrd Skynryd, Eddie Money, Molly Hatchet, Motley Crue, Men At Work, Nazareth, Ozzy Osbourne, Prince, The Police, Quiet Riot, Rod Stewert, Izzy Stradlin, Robin Trower, Twisted Sister, U2, Van Halen, Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughn, WASP ... Probably left a bunch out.
Top 10 Albums ...
Roger Water's Amused To Death. (a must hear for all atheist rock fans.
Elton John's Madman Across The Water.
Blondie's Eat To The Beat.
Nazareth's 2XS.
Pink Floyd's More.
Men At Work's Business As Usual.
Bob Dylan's Desire.
AC/DC's Let There Be Rock.
Prince's Sign O' The Times.
Aerosmith's Permanent Vacation.

Pink Floyd, Ministry, Butthole Surfers, SOD, LARD, Corrosion of Conformity, Type O' Negative, Children of Bodom, Theatres des Vampires, Tool, Insane Clown Posse, Boondox, Tech9ne, Twiztid, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Helloween, Iron Maiden, Koto, Kitaro, Green Lizard, 't hof van commerce, de jeugd van tegenwoordig, J.S. Bach, Camille Saint-Saëns.
I don't have a problem with different styles of music, as long as an performance is able to blow me away I will like it.
Best regards,

Here's what I think is a brilliant performance by 'The Black Keys' on Letterman:

The song is called 'I Got Mine'.

blues, soul, r&b, reggae, ska, punk, some pop, some country, some rock, classical, protest.......have I missed anything?
I like music if it's good, end of.
Don't like naming individual acts.
Oh and I went to the same school as John Lennon! Gotta like him! Always preferred his input to the Beatles over Paul,s.

As I said in another thread give me some Linkin Park, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Atreyu, Godsmack, Evanescence and I'm happy.
Some other favs are Three Days Grace, Spineshank, Greenday, Lacuna Coil, My Chem, 30 Seconds From Mars, Rise Against and I'm starting to get quite heavily into what they call symphonic metal (Nightwish, Epica ... Epica are really good from an atheist perspective too, check some of their lyrics out).
Older music ... Queen is OK I suppose (certainly they did some classics) but I would probably only buy their hits. The ones I like are Metallica, Guns 'n Roses, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, Thin Lizzy and stuff like that. Also like classics like Pink Floyd "Dark Side Of The Moon" & "Wish You Were Here", Santana "Moonflower", "Supernatural" & greatest hits.
Before I got into rock 'n nu-metal I was into funk and jazz funk, also a fair pit of late 70's punk (Stranglers, 999, Pistols) and 80's white boy dance (Kershaw, Japan, Spandau, Haircut 100, Frankie) and some stuff I can't quite classify like Devo and early Ultravox (John Foxx leading not Midge Ure).
