Funny stuff aside, Smith behaved like a petulant child. Chris Rock’s joke - inappropriate as it was - was a joke, delivered by a comedian. You don’t get to assault people because your feelings got hurt. The Academy should rescind his award.

I feel a bit guilty...I went out to fill the bird feeder that is just outside of my home office only to find a hawk sitting on the railing about a foot from the feeder. I felt like I was baiting the field for him.

If I find an empty fluff of feathers in the next few days, I am really going to feel awful.

I think it means ‘empty’ in the sense of ‘feathers that are no longer wrapped around a bird’.
