I don’t think that’s a good idea. If I posted my picture - and someone commented and posted a picture of some unfortunate woman who looked like me, I would probably just wonder if Dad had a girlfriend while he was in the Air Force that he neglected to tell us about.

I found the last six or so posts to be a bit offensive; for instance, men are, for the most part, not too bashful about their weight; most women, of course, feel differently.

But we have knowledge of these things, or if not, access to knowledge. For instance we know, or could easily learn, that for trans people, dysphoric feelings can be very intense. To talk to a trans woman about her image looking like a man can be extremely triggering to the dysphoria she has dealt with her whole life. I wouldn’t be comfortable going there. I wouldn’t want to be responsible for that potential distress.

I don't feel distress; I do feel annoyed. Sometimes I show it, other times I pretend that I don't care, and in some instances, I really, truly don't care.

I agree, but look at it this way. You know the saying. Males age like wine. Females like milk. How many better looking 72 year old females are there than Caitlyn Jenner? None I can think of off the top of my head.
Females hit their peak around their teen years to early twenties. Males not until their 50s. https://www.bustle.com/p/women-peak-at-1...s-10220443

If I annoyed you, Jehanne, I apologise. Sometimes, The Man Who Never Was can be hard to unsee in The Woman Who Is; and I'm going to chalk that up to limitations in the science of gender transitioning. And knowing that it apparently took your doctor five years to figure out you were trans, it looks like you do your damnedest working within those limitations.

She's 73 and it looks like she's only just starting to get wrinkles.

It's no problem! I hardly even think about it. If anything, the whole LGBTQ+ issues are just proof that memes are real. Most of my coworkers have gotten used to me, a biological male, wearing women's skirts to the office weekly now for the past 3 months. What's true for individuals is also true for Society; people will just get used to LGBTQ+ folks, and, eventually, they will stop talking about it.

Honestly, I tend to default to seeing such things as "a bit odd, but whatever." At worst, maybe "ehh, swipe left." I've done stranger things than simultaneously wearing a skirt and bearing a Y Chromosome. Hell, that stopped being too strange after the first couple times I watched Python, and they were all cis. And I hope that you live to see the day where people see you and only start to get nervous when you start talking about Tor browsers.
